These directions are for WinXp
Step 1

Find the zip file you've just downloaded. Most people have a
default download folder.
tend to use Windows Explore and because it's always
open
this is the only way I know
of to tell you how to do this. I am going to assume
you know how to find the files on your pc.
(In WinXp, right click on start, click on the word Explore)
Find the folder you place your downloads in.
Step 2

Once you find the file, double click on it. The zip file will
open in a
new window. At the left side click once on Extract all files.
Step 3

Follow the prompts by clicking the Next Button.
Step 4

or (go to Step 5)
Step 5

choose the Browse button and click to the folder you prefer to Unzip to.
It's like creating a downloads folder, but it should be a place where
you like to store your embroidery designs until you back them up.
Step 6

If you wish to see your open files once extracted, be sure
the
"Show Extracted Files" is checked in this window.
Step 7

From there, you can open your designs, and place them on your
card or
floppy to go to your machine for the stitchout process.
I hope this small lesson helps you to understand unzipping.
Please let us know if we can improve anything on this page for you.
Step 8

Some of the files at Green Bee will have several zip files in
them
with the original downloaded zip.
You will need to "unzip" again
to see your designs. (this is the case in the
Asian Influence singles zips
because
each zip files contains a redwork design and the
manual punch design)
As a reminder: This guide was created for Winxp. However, there is a lot of software available to extract zip files. Zip files are extremely common on the Internet and you can easily find software that is freeware that will unzip your files.
To find Freeware Zip Software:
Tucows
Winzip (Excellent Shareware)
